Gion

Ergionne Erling Alterio, or as he is often called Gion, a young man who was born in Edinburgh in mid-December, just a week before Christmas.

His whole family was eagerly awaited his birth, especially from the father's side, who was an only child.

He grew up to be a good, polite and stubborn child. Born into a noble family, making Gion's childhood can be said to be quite happy. Unfortunately, that happiness did not last long. When he was only 5 years old, just the day after Christmas, the worst nightmare hit his family. An incident that he will never forget in his life.

In front of his innocence eyes that were blocked by the wooden wall, his small body was curled up in the narrow space that his mother had been forcefully ordering, from the narrow gap he saw how his parents, no, but all residents of Alterio's mansion were cruelly slaughtered.

A little Gion covered his own mouth tightly without even consciously holding his breath. He can't die here, he has to live as his mother said with tears.

A week after the tragedy, Gion's custody was immediately taken over by his maternal uncle and brought him to live with his family in New York.

As a result of the tragedy, Gion grew up to be a closed and quiet child. In fact, he was a victim of bullying in elementary school, which made him mentally worse. From then on, his uncle decided that he was better off home schooling while teaching him various self-defense techniques.

He has been through many things to make him who he is today. Even though he has re-opened himself, he still can't trust anyone, even his uncle and aunt, who think of him as their own child.

With everything he had been through, Gion only wanted to gain freedom and understand himself. Want to move on from the past and turn to a new page. Therefore, he decided to travel the world, visiting places he had never known while healing himself.

Gion never thought that he was a wizard, to be precise a half-blood. He recently learned that his mother's ancestors had the blood of a witch, which was inherited by her mother.

Right now, he decided to take the first steps by entering one of the magician academies, to his surprise, which was located not far from where he had been living all this time.

His Japanese name is Takahiro Tendō (鷹拓 天道). This name was given by the grandfather of his mother who came from Japan. According to him, the name Gion was too difficult to pronounce. So, he gave another name that was in harmony with the Japanese pronunciation.
